Facts: Alexandra was born in New York City, New York. She wanted to be an actor when she was a child but her first television role did not come about until she was 16 years old, when she booked a single episode in the role of victimized teen Laurie Lewis on the soap opera All My Children. At the same time, she was a sophomore attending a traditional girl’s school in New York. “I was finishing my sophomore year of high school at [the Brearley School] in New York,” Alexandra said. “I would not have been able to continue my education there.”

What I think about her playing the role: I haven’t seen Alexandra in any movies or shows, so I have no idea how well her acting is. I’m sure she will be great. She is a little too old, especially if they continue to make the other books. She does not have the same looks as the Annabeth in the books, which is some what disappointing to me as I like books to be as close as possible to their movies.

Yes, Annabeth is supposed to be blonde, and in “Where You Might See Her,” you wrote “damages” twice.

Melanie- I don’t think Thalia will be in this movie unless they have her in a flashback or something.

I am starting to worry about the movie. I am a huge fan of percy jackson and it looks like they are messing up every character. Did they do any character right?

I think they did an ok job with Percy, he looks like I pictured him in my mind while reading the book. I just wish he was younger. Poseidon looks ok too in my opinion.

my god i HATE thos people at this moment!! the percy jackson series are my favorite books and they totaly mess everything up!! i mean percy is like 17 or 18 grover is like 26 and annabeth is 24 AND she is suposed to be blond!!!!! i mean they did a good job on Percy but he has to be yonger!! i mean all thos people are playing 12 year olds!!! im 13 and i look NOTHING like them i look so young compared to them cuz they are so old! i mean they did a good job on the gods and chiron and stuff but like everyone else they messed up! AND annabeth dosent use a dagger!!! i mean what the hades!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! o and luke looks like luke but he is still way to old to be playing him! my gods!!

Annabeth is supposed to be blonde, with curly hair!! I pictured Percy like Logan Lerman, but still, I think that they should have done a better job with the ageing of the characters. Percy and Annabeth both look way to old!! The movie will be interesting….yeah that's the word.

A major part of the development of the book series is the use of classic Greek mythology (OK, with a twist, but…still). Just viewing the trailers for the movie gives me a real negative feeling and warning that will be bothersome the entire way. Annabeth is clearly supposed to be blonde and with gray eyes–this is reiterated in EVERY book!. This will be a bad throughout the entire series. Can't criticize the actress, or that she and "Percy": are too old–only the very poor initial casting impact and expectations. Wrong appeartance, too old, etc. The two most important characters are just not accurate–a BAD START. Wasn't a problem with Harry Potter, et al. Even if the movie is entertaining (and I will see it) This IS a major fault. Don't understand why they made these choices–what is wrong with a wig or coloring?????? A movie trailer should make you excited to see a film…not be disappointed before the first piece of popcorn is consumed in the dark!

I agree with your thoughts. It's best when they make things the as close to the books as possible. If they do make The Sea of Monsters into a movie, I hope they'll make the newer characters more accurate.

I see what you are saying, however at least so far there are no fatal flaws such as there was in the Eragon movie that will make this a irredeemable series.

I got two words for all you Alexandra-bashers… Who cares?! Alexandra has dark hair, Melina has dark hair. Therefore, they're good casting for mother and daughter. Get over the whole "blonde" thing already!

yeashe should be blonde, but she has that 50% angel 50% devil look anabeth neds, and the armour she is wearing totaly emphazises how girly she is. (frily shirt underneath) and it makes her boobs lok realy good!
